An uninsured driver who hit 100mph during a motorway chase before flipping his car at a roundabout has been jailed for 12 months.

Hai Nguyen, 40, who has no permanent address, faced Chester Crown Court and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving without insurance, earning him a driving ban of two years and three months.

Officers spotted his black Audi A6 on the M6 on 20 July 2026 at 11.30pm and twice tried to pull him over before he sped onto the M56 hard shoulder.

His car rolled at junction 10 before he tried to climb out of the window.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said his driving "put other members of the public at risk" but that "thankfully, the roads were quiet."
