A 53-year-old vape shop manager who sexually exploited teenage girls in Poole has been jailed for eight years.
Dilshaw Omar Kawani, of Poole, Dorset, was sentenced to the eight-year prison term for a total of seven offences of sexual assault and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Kawani used his position as the manager of a vape store in the Dorset town to target young, teenage girls, with his customer-facing retail role serving as the backdrop to his offending.
His crimes were brought to light by a detailed and painstaking investigation by detectives, which exposed how the vape store manager had been sexually exploiting teenagers in the Poole area.
Encouraging or causing a child to participate in sexual acts constitutes a grave sexual crime against minors under UK law, an offence that targets those who pressure or manipulate children into taking part in such conduct.
That charge formed part of the seven counts for which Kawani was prosecuted, alongside the sexual assault offences.
The eight-year prison term covered all seven of the child sexual offences, putting the predator behind bars.
Kawani's offending took place against teenagers in the Poole area before detectives uncovered his behaviour and brought him to justice.
News of the sentencing was publicised in a post on X, formerly Twitter, headlined "JAILED," which was accompanied by a photograph of the offender and a link to a fuller account of the investigation and the court outcome.
