A woman stabbed to death in a Manchester street in the early hours of Thursday morning has been named as 26-year-old Alisha Samuels.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Dorking Avenue at around 2am on Thursday, 15 October.
When they arrived at the street, they found a woman suffering from serious injuries.
Despite the emergency response, she could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
She has since been formally identified as Alisha Samuels, aged 26.
Her grieving family has asked for privacy as they come to terms with what happened.
Relatives are dealing with the "devastating loss of their loved one" and do not wish to be contacted at this time.
Detectives from Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team are leading the investigation into the fatal stabbing.
The team is continuing to appeal for information in relation to the incident as the inquiry into Alisha's death moves forward.
Investigators have renewed their plea for members of the public to come forward with anything they know, no matter how small, to support the investigation.
Detectives say information from the public could prove vital in helping to "bring justice for Alisha."
They are particularly keen to trace anyone who witnessed the incident itself on Dorking Avenue in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Officers also want to hear from anyone who may hold footage from the area around the time of the attack.
That includes mobile phone recordings, CCTV footage and doorbell camera video captured on or near the street where Alisha was found.
Anyone with recordings is being urged to hand them over to detectives so they can be reviewed as part of the investigation.
Potential witnesses can contact investigators directly by calling 0161 856 5464.
Information and footage can also be submitted online through the dedicated Major Incident Public Portal set up for the case, at mipp.police.uk/operation/06GMP26S62-PO1.
The portal allows members of the public to upload material straight to the investigation team.
Anyone who wishes to pass on information without giving their name can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers.
The charity can be reached anonymously on 0800 555 111.
