'100% not leaving Strictly': Shirley Ballas stays loyal despite calling Dancing With the Stars 'the job she always wanted'

Shirley Ballas, 66, head judge on Strictly Come Dancing since 2017, appeared on Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday as a guest judge and immediately caused a stir by scoring actors Julia Stiles and Tatyana Ali fours — harsher than her fellow judges. She handed out the series' first-ever 10, to former Glee star Harry Shum Jr for his contemporary routine. She will fly back in time for Strictly's Halloween special this Saturday.
Her son Mark received no special treatment from Ballas, who awarded him and partner Maura Higgins a seven while Bruno Tonioli gave them nines.
She says she will never marry again, telling Prima: 'I don't want to answer to anybody.'
Ballas plans to keep any future relationships 'out of the press', having faced public judgment over her age-gap engagement to Danny Taylor, 51.
