1. Our approach

The Newshound, operated by Sesha Systems UK Ltd, is a news-aggregation service. For each story we display the headline, a short original summary, and links to the original articles on the publishers’ own websites. We rely on the “reporting current events” and “quotation” exceptions to copyright under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, with clear attribution to the source outlet, and we always drive readers to the original reporting. We do not republish full articles.

2. Requesting removal (takedown)

If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent) and believe content on this site infringes your copyright or has been used without proper attribution, please email contactus@thenewshound.com with “Takedown” in the subject line and include:

• The exact URL(s) on thenewshound.com you are complaining about;
• Identification of the copyrighted work concerned and the original URL;
• Confirmation that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them, and your contact details;
• A statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.

We aim to review valid requests promptly and, where appropriate, will remove the material or the summary/link in question. We may also block the source from future ingestion on request.

3. Publishers who prefer not to be aggregated

If you are a publisher and would rather your outlet was not included at all, email us at the address above and we will exclude your domain from the service.
