2point4 Children star Georgina Cates died aged 51 in MAY, but the show's creator has only just discovered it

Andrew Marshall broke the news on X, writing that Claire Woodgate, 'aka Georgina Cates, our 1st Jenny in 2p4 died last May'. No cause of death has been given. Marshall admitted he had 'no other details' and asked anyone who knew more to come forward.

She won the part of Jenny Porter at just 16 and starred in the first two series.

Rejected under her real name, she reinvented herself as a red-haired Liverpudlian called Georgina Cates.

She starred alongside Vince Vaughn and Joaquin Phoenix in the 1998 film 'Clay Pigeons'.
