Met hunts 2018 letter that warned of child abuse claims against Meghan's father, yet says it NEVER investigated him

The Duchess of Sussex says she was 'given assurances' that allegations against Thomas Markle Sr were under investigation. The letter, sent to the Met's Fixated Threat Assessment Centre, alleged he had sexually abused a child and, according to its author, that he had admitted travelling to Thailand and the Philippines to abuse children. Markle, 82, has dismissed the accusations as 'sick lies'.

Meghan says there was one reason she kept Archie and Lilibet away from her father: 'to protect them'.

The Met has been unable to confirm that its Royalty and Specialist Protection officers ever forwarded the letter to her.

Thomas Markle Jr spent nine hours delivering four boxes from his father's Cebu home to police.
