Body is found in Mugdock Country Park in the search for a Glasgow teenager, 17, missing since Monday

Kristijonas Demcenko, 17, was last seen on CCTV at 2.30pm on Monday walking towards Mugdock Road car park in Milngavie. His family grew increasingly worried when he failed to turn up for an important appointment in Glasgow on Wednesday. The body was discovered on Friday; his relatives have been informed, though formal identification has yet to take place. Police Scotland is not treating the death as suspicious.

When he disappeared he was wearing all black — jacket, jeans and trainers, the latter with white soles.

Police had urged Milngavie residents to check sheds, outbuildings, dashcam and doorbell footage.

A report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
