A killed police officer's bodycam shows Ukrainian villagers being ushered into a shelter seconds before a Russian bomb strikes it

Ukraine's death toll from Monday's double-tap bombing of Komyshuvakha, in the Zaporizhzhia region, has climbed to at least 40. President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that as many as 70 people may have been killed, with more than 30 still feared trapped beneath rubble as rescue operations entered their third day. The attack involved nine gliding bombs — the heaviest tipping the scales at 3,000kg — which fell as residents had gathered to collect humanitarian aid at a former school, before a second wave hit the shelter where survivors had taken refuge. Zelensky appealed for additional air defences, saying the world had shown "very little reaction" to what he described as an "insane attack."
The bodycam footage, recovered from a killed police officer, shows a soldier ordering terrified residents: 'Go down! Why are you gathering here?' — moments before the shelter goes dark.
Overnight strikes on power stations across nine regions also knocked out water and electricity for Kyiv, with officials telling citizens to use public drinking fountains.
