Woman shot by NYPD officer after Queens stabbings as man, 48, is charged with attempted murder

Rashawn Donovan, a resident of the 149th Street property in South Ozone Park according to police, was taken into custody on Saturday evening. Police do not believe the 39-year-old woman they shot was behind the home invasion or the first stabbing. Officers say she ignored commands and advanced with a knife. She was hit in the shoulder, leg and chest.

A wounded man called out from a window that the person who stabbed him was his uncle.

Officers found the woman on top of two men struggling in a bedroom.

Donovan suffered only a cut to his right little finger, police say.
