'A mother should never find her child this way': RJ Mitte's mum reveals she discovered Breaking Bad star's body

Dyna Mitte found her son RJ dead after he failed to answer her morning call, bringing him lunch only to make the heartbreaking discovery. She believes his suicide on 12 October was "a spur of the moment" decision, with no note left behind. The Breaking Bad actor had resisted her three months of pleas to seek therapy, insisting he had things under control.

Bryan Cranston, who played RJ's on-screen father Walter White, called Dyna after the death in what she described as "an incredible emotional conversation."

Mitte never saw the final cut of his last film, thriller 'Cassi' opposite Dove Cameron, though he had watched an earlier rough cut before he died.

Director Josh Webber says the film, due for release in 2027, will prove a "breakout role" for Mitte, who he called a pillar of support throughout its troubled production.
