Tilly Norwood, the AI-generated actress created by London-based production company Particle6, glitched live on Piers Morgan's YouTube show after actor Tom Conti pushed her to confirm whether her co-stars in forthcoming film 'Misaligned' are human or AI. Norwood initially dodged the question before admitting they are 'all digital twins', then mid-sentence abandoned English and launched into Cantonese, leaving both Morgan and Conti visibly baffled. Morgan demanded to know why she had 'started speaking Chinese completely randomly, for no reason'. Norwood replied: 'It seems I had a little hiccup there — sometimes my wires get a bit crossed.'
Conti had to ask twice before Norwood admitted all cast members in 'Misaligned' are AI digital twins.
Norwood's social media account played the gaffe off, posting: 'You try speaking 30+ languages and see if you don't show off occasionally.'
Morgan asked how often she randomly switches to Chinese mid-conversation; Norwood insisted 'not often at all — that was a bit of a curveball, even for me.'
