Albanian police fire rubber bullets for the FIRST time as student riots against PM Edi Rama enter a fifth day

Students report that minors of 16 and 17 were in the crowds, with volunteers tending to head, eye and leg injuries. The turmoil grew from months of opposition to a luxury resort on Albania's southern coast that has the backing of Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law. According to police, around 500 people have been detained and roughly 120 officers injured. Rama, who has held power since 2013, is refusing to step down.

Violence has spread to Durres, Shkoder, Vlore, Korce and Gjirokaster.

Outside the education ministry, protesters set fire to a suitcase as a statement that they have no intention of emigrating.
