Aldi urgently recalls its £12 Dyson dupe hairdryer over fears it could give shoppers an electric shock

The power cord on the Ambiano Ionic Hairdryer can become damaged, exposing live parts or causing it to overheat. The faulty batch went on sale in Aldi's Specialbuy aisle between August and September 2025. Black, White, Yellow and Orange models are all affected. Customers are being told to stop using them at once and take them back to stores.

Aldi admits the faulty model fails UK electrical appliance safety standards.

A new version arrives in middle aisles this Sunday for £11.99 and is unaffected.

Shoppers should check the code on the underside against the colour codes Aldi has published.
