Alexa Chung confirms engagement to Tom Sturridge, whose Tudor diamond ring a friend warned may be 'haunted'

Hairstylist Alexandri grabbed the antique ring off Alexa Chung's finger before a Paris fashion show, crying: 'Oh my god, I think your ring is haunted.' He then made wishes around it and blew on it. Chung, 42, told More Or Less magazine the table-cut diamond is a Tudor piece. Actor Tom Sturridge, 40, chose it because he knows she adores vintage and antiques.

Chung said the ring echoed those worn by Anne Boleyn and others executed by Henry VIII.

Her verdict on the curse: 'Or do I? Because that's iconic.'

Engagement rumours began in June 2023 at Henry Holland's 40th birthday party.
