Zacariah Boulares, 19, has received a further two years and ten months in custody after pleading guilty to two machete-wielding luxury watch robberies in west London in August 2023. The Algerian-born offender had previously served youth detention for threatening to decapitate Songs of Praise star Aled Jones during a £17,000 Rolex snatch on Chiswick High Road, and was jailed a second time for attempting to steal Bridgerton actress Genevieve Chenneour's phone. Thursday's sentence is his third period of imprisonment before his twentieth birthday.
Boulares robbed Mark Turner of his watch in Kensington Square Gardens, then threatened to 'chop your hand off' in a failed raid outside a Bayswater Waitrose ten days later.
Sentencing judge Jas Jandu told Boulares he had been 'rampaging around the streets with a deadly weapon' and 'should be ashamed' of robbing people in broad daylight.
Boulares was arrested on February 21 last year — his 18th birthday — after a string of offences beginning when he was just 16.
