'America does need a ballroom': Bill Maher tells Karoline Leavitt he backs Trump's East Wing plan

Karoline Leavitt told Bill Maher that Donald Trump has 'been flirting with' turning the White House press briefing room back into a swimming pool. On Saturday Trump denied the report but said the room could move 'to a less obnoxious location'. Maher waved off Democrat critics: 'We're having dinner in the grass. It's stupid.' Leavitt, 29, is due to join Fox News next month.

Leavitt joked that Trump 'had a hit show' about moving on from people, after her successor Katie Zacharia lasted five days.

Maher defended his White House dinners on his show: 'Yeah, I did it again.'

Maher still told Leavitt Trump's handling of Russia is 'unconscionable'.
