American Airlines flight attendant is accused of using her free travel perks to fleece a Florida woman, 75, of $25,000

Destiny Blake, 24, a Brooklyn-based American Airlines flight attendant, is accused of running a year-long sweepstakes scam against a 75-year-old Palm Coast, Florida woman — draining her of $25,310 through fake Publishers Clearing House calls, forged Zelle payments and stolen credit card details. Blake flew to the victim's home using her free standby travel benefits, stayed just 15 minutes, and left having added herself to the elderly woman's Apple card account as an authorised user.

Before leaving, Blake wrote a note for the victim directing her to contact her card provider and claim Blake was her granddaughter.

She then racked up 88 charges worth over $10,500 on the stolen card — covering Apple products, a hair salon, UberEats and a Queens supermarket.

'Her next trip? Flagler County to be held accountable for her crimes,' said Sheriff Rick Staly after CBP arrested Blake at Miami airport last Friday.
