The Bentley Flying Spur once driven by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to his father's funeral and his granddaughter's christening has appeared at Portland of Bawtry in Doncaster, listed as an 'Ex Royal Family Car' at £124,975 — less than half its reported £220,000 purchase price. The car has just 7,000 miles on the clock and was resprayed from factory blue to Barnato racing green at Mountbatten-Windsor's request. Dealership owner Clive Watson said a 'very strange service history' prompted his inquiries, eventually revealing its royal provenance.
The 'A03 DOY' personalised plate — a nod to his stripped Duke of York title — has been removed and no longer appears on the DVLA website.
Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office over claims he shared sensitive information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while serving as UK trade envoy.
He is now preparing legal action against Thames Valley Police and the Central Criminal Court over items seized in raids on his properties linked to the Epstein files.
