Rayner says free movement is not 'off the table' and voters will decide on scrapping Brexit's key promise

Andy Burnham told Leave-voting Makerfield in June he would not 're-run' the 2016 arguments. Now the Prime Minister says he is open to bringing back EU free movement. Housing Secretary Angela Rayner insisted on Sunday that 'you can't take anything off the table', hinting the plan could go in Labour's next manifesto. Labour ruled out free movement at the 2024 election.

Robert Jenrick raged at the prospect of freedom of movement returning to Britain.

Rayner claimed Burnham's stance was 'exactly what he said a few months ago'.

She cited exports down 20 per cent ahead of next month's UK-EU summit.
