Anti-Trump 'No Kings' movement held thousands of rallies billed as 'nonpartisan' to push early voting before US midterms

Protesters openly ignored the 'nonpartisan' rule, with Alexandria engineer Nayely Cruz Hernandez, 26, urging voters to 'vote blue'. The network behind the rallies reportedly spans around 300 groups with $2.5bn in combined annual revenue. Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg told an Atlanta crowd that early voting guards against 'chaos, fear, and confusion'. The midterms take place on November 3.

Meta suspended the No Kings Instagram account for 90 minutes, then blamed an automated error.

Atlanta councilman Michael Julian Bond declared: 'Every day of early voting is Election Day.'

Hernandez said her Maltese-poodle Maybellene was backing Democrat Don Beyer.
