Antisemitism adviser Lord Mann warns British Jews feel more 'isolated, ostracised and insecure' at Lancaster House conference

Hundreds of representatives drawn from politics, healthcare, education, the arts and sport gathered at Lancaster House yesterday for the 2026 conference on antisemitism, where Lord Mann, the government's independent antisemitism adviser, opened proceedings with a stark warning about the state of British Jewish life. Ministers actively requested places at the event rather than needing to be invited. Lord Mann called on every employer and institution to ensure a 16-year-old Jewish teenager can attend festivals, concerts and sport without harassment.
The Board of Deputies launched a newly expanded Employer's Guide to Jews and Judaism at the conference, backed by Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds.
Lord Mann told delegates antisemitism 'is anti-Jewish racism' and that most Britons dislike it but do not always recognise it when they see it.
