AOC sends $1 million to Abdul El-Sayed's Michigan Senate campaign as Vance 'weasel' row rages
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has transferred $1 million in campaign funds to Abdul El-Sayed's Michigan Senate bid, with the New York congresswoman saying she refuses to wake up on 4 November wishing she had done more. El-Sayed is locked in a tight race against Republican Mike Rogers, though nonpartisan forecaster Decision Desk HQ gives the Democrat a 68 per cent chance of winning. AOC has been touring Michigan alongside El-Sayed this week as Republicans send in Vice President JD Vance to rally for Rogers.
Vance called El-Sayed 'a little weasel who should shut his mouth' at a Monroe, Michigan rally.
El-Sayed fired back that Vance was talking about 'a f---ing Wolverine', drawing cheers and mocking Vance's event as 'a cute little rally.'
Democratic strategist Paul Begala piled in, calling Vance a 'dimwitted charmless oaf' and saying Trump is '30 points underwater everywhere you look.'
