Some buyers who missed out on pre-orders now face waiting until January for delivery. The phone's tight-fitting hinge is reportedly tricky to build, which is slowing Apple's factory output. Walk-in availability will vary by country, and some markets will reserve units only for customers who already ordered online. The iPhone Duo launches this Friday, October 23.

The Duo folds like a book, opening from a 5.4-inch screen to a 7.6-inch display.

One reviewer found it lacks face unlocking and has pared-back cameras.

Apple's flagship iPhone 18 Pro starts at £1,199, which is £800 less than the Duo.
