Arab-Israeli voters aim to oust Netanyahu as their election kingmaker says they are ready to ditch the two-state solution

Israel goes to the polls on 27 October, and Arab citizens could decide whether Benjamin Netanyahu keeps power. A Friday poll for Israel Hayom forecasts nine seats for Itamar Ben-Gvir's Jewish Strength party, one more than the Democrats under Yair Golan. More than 500,000 Israelis have reached voting age since 2022. Three-quarters of first-time Jewish voters call themselves right or centre-right.
Netanyahu praised Donald Trump's 'wicked sense of humor' in a pre-election television interview.
He said their partnership could keep bringing security to Israel if he is re-elected.
At a rally, Ben-Gvir boasted of his 1998 conviction over 'Rabbi Kahane was right' stickers.
