Archewell faces fresh staff shake-up as senior non-fiction executive departs, adding to string of exits since 2018

Chanel Pysnik, an Emmy-winning former CNN and Disney+ executive who served as Archewell Productions' head of non-fiction film and TV, has departed after five and a half years with no successor named, triggering renewed scrutiny of the organisation's stability. She oversaw the Netflix 'Harry & Meghan' documentary — the biggest documentary premiere in Netflix history — and produced a string of further titles including 'Cookie Queens', which premiered at Sundance in January.
Pysnik is at least the 24th member of staff to leave Harry and Meghan since their wedding in 2018, and the 16th since the 2020 'Megxit' crisis.
Archewell Productions remains based in California under a watered-down Netflix first-look deal, even as the couple have relocated to Britain with their children.
Harry and Meghan praised her in a joint statement, saying she 'spearheaded the strategic framework for our unscripted endeavours' and 'led with her heart'.
