'Are they serious?!': Healey and Miliband ridiculed for Bangkok tuk-tuk influencer stunt days before a TOUGH BUDGET

Chancellor John Healey and Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband are facing fierce mockery after posting a social media clip of themselves tasting Thai snacks in a neon-lit tuk-tuk in Bangkok, less than two weeks before Healey's 28 October Budget. Tory shadow chancellor Andrew Griffith led the attacks, accusing the pair of clowning around while Britain faces record-high borrowing costs, soaring fuel prices and a youth unemployment crisis. Broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer posted 'For the love of God, PLEASE STOP' on X. A second video shows Miliband brandishing an umbrella and warning of a 'perfect storm.'
The clip, set to upbeat music, shows Miliband joking 'eating on camera has not been my forte' — a nod to his infamous bacon sandwich photo.
Healey declared the snacks 'better than scampi fries' at the very IMF summit where he warned Britain faces a 'tough time' from global economic conflicts.
Healey has also signalled NHS departments may not receive extra cash to cover doctor and nurse pay rises in the upcoming Budget.
