Argentine girl, 10, with stomach pains is found to be six months pregnant and her stepfather, 33, is arrested

The girl's grandmother, Norma Gómez, says she warned her daughter never to trust Julio Vivas, a man her daughter met online. Vivas, 33, was arrested on Tuesday at the family's remote home in El Bracho, Santiago del Estero, after the child named him as responsible. Prosecutor Guillermo Farías ordered the arrest and police seized his phone. Vivas remains in custody while the investigation continues.
An obstetrician at Colonia Dora Hospital found the advanced pregnancy during an examination.
Her grandmother says: 'I went through the same thing as the little girl did when I was eight.'
Her teacher Lucrecia says she never noticed anything: 'She is a quiet girl; she does her homework.'
