Arizona sheriff reveals detectives met DNA 'lab scientists' in Florida as Savannah Guthrie's mother Nancy remains missing nine months on

Pima County investigators flew to Florida earlier this month to consult DNA specialists, hoping fresh scientific techniques can break open one of America's most baffling kidnapping cases. Sheriff Chris Nanos's department said "a number of ideas were discussed" with the lab scientists, but no breakthrough has been announced. Nancy Guthrie, 84, was snatched from her Tucson home on February 1 and has not been seen since.

A masked suspect caught on Nancy's Ring doorbell camera, carrying a backpack and wearing ski-mask and gloves, has never been identified.

Two ransom notes surfaced; the first demanded $4 million in cryptocurrency, the second — sent just four days later — claimed Nancy had already died after being taken.

Nanos told reporters from the outset 'She did not leave on her own — we know that'; tips can be reported to 88-CRIME or 1-800-CALL-FBI.
