Arizona woman Laura Owens is jailed for 30 days over a faked twin pregnancy aimed at Bachelor star Clayton Echard
Clayton Echard told the Arizona court that 'Laura will not stop until she is removed from her environment.' Owens, 35, of Scottsdale, received seven years of probation alongside her jail term, with a maximum of 12 years in prison hanging over her should she violate its terms. She pleaded guilty in August to four felonies, among them perjury and identity theft. She addressed the judge with the words she was 'profoundly, profoundly sorry'.
Investigators say Owens doctored ultrasound scans and staged a fake pregnancy video.
One ultrasound she used actually belonged to another woman.
She made a similar pregnancy claim against Gregory Gillespie, whom she dated in 2021.
