Arsenal stars dominate headlines as Rice's future, transfer revelations and Leeds victory fallout take centre stage

Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates, with Bruno Guimaraes scoring a late winner on his first home start to put their title defence back on track. Guimaraes, signed for £75m from Newcastle in the summer, came off the bench and finished coolly from the edge of the area after Riccardo Calafiori had cancelled out James Justin's opener. Glenn Hoddle hailed Declan Rice as the league's standout player, while Ray Parlour urged the club to move quickly on a new contract for the midfielder, who has two years remaining on his current deal.

Rice told Viaplay he is 'happiest' he has been playing football at Arsenal and hinted strongly he will sign an extension.

Guimaraes said his aim is to give Arteta a 'headache' for selection, insisting he proved himself in the Premier League over five years at Newcastle.

The win follows a 3-0 defeat to Brighton before the international break, with Viktor Gyokeres starting up front amid doubts over Kai Havertz's fitness.
