Mikel Arteta has confirmed that both Piero Hincapie and Martin Zubimendi picked up ankle injuries during an Arsenal training session after Saturday's 2-1 Premier League win over Leeds, ruling both out of Tuesday's Champions League game against Lille at minimum. Arteta said further scans are needed before a return timeline can be set, adding 'it's not great'. Hincapie had to be carried off by teammates after the warm-down incident.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds after James Justin's opener, with Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes scoring within eight minutes of each other.
William Saliba, injured during the World Cup, is back in individual training and Arteta says he hopes to reintegrate him into group sessions 'in the next few weeks'.
