Arteta urges patience on Bukayo Saka's quad injury as the winger needs a further MRI scan before Everton clash

So much fluid had built up around Bukayo Saka's quad that Arsenal doctors could not judge how bad the damage is. Mikel Arteta said the England star is still struggling to walk without pain and is restricted in movement, calling them 'not good signs'. Saka hobbled off after just 10 minutes against Bayern Munich on Wednesday and was replaced by Eberechi Eze.

Arteta had warned midweek that the injury 'doesn't look good at all'.

Saka started 87 consecutive Arsenal games between 2021 and 2023.

He has since needed hamstring surgery and missed five matches with Achilles tendinitis.
