Aung San Suu Kyi meets Red Cross officials in August, as her son Kim Aris warns Myanmar's generals remain "definitely afraid" of the 81-year-old and demands transparency over her conditions.

Kim Aris, her youngest son, says military chief-turned-president Min Aung Hlaing still fears the support she commands in Burma. Speaking at a London screening of a documentary on her career, he said the 81-year-old was jailed on 'trumped-up charges'. Aris fears for her health and demands transparency over her conditions. She has been seen only a handful of times since her arrest in February 2021.

King Charles sent her two gardening books and a sealed letter this week, Myanmar images show.

Red Cross officials visited the jailed Nobel laureate in August.

On her earlier release, Aris said the junta misjudged her support: 'now they do.'
