'Australia's worst paedophile' is pictured for the first time in over four years after extradition to face 202 MORE charges
Ashley Paul Griffith, 48, a childcare worker already serving life in Queensland for 307 child sex offences against 69 girls, was extradited to New South Wales on Wednesday to face 202 additional charges involving 23 further victims at a Sydney childcare centre between 2014 and 2017. Queensland Corrections Minister Laura Gerber called him "a monster" as footage of the transfer was released publicly. The new charges include sexual intercourse with a child under 10, with victims as young as 10 years old.
Griffith had not been seen in public photos or video since his August 2022 arrest before Wednesday's transfer footage.
He was placed in a cage of grey metal and unbreakable glass inside an unmarked van after changing into the clothes he wore the day he was first arrested.
At a Brisbane court hearing last month, a victim's supporter screamed 'Rot! Burn! Get f***ed Ashley' as his extradition was approved.
