Australia's 'worst paedophile', already jailed for life, is extradited to face 202 MORE child abuse charges in Sydney
Ashley Paul Griffith, 48, Australia's most notorious child abuser, was transferred from Wolston Correctional Centre in Brisbane to NSW authorities at Tweed Heads at 8am on Wednesday, making his first public appearance in over four years. He is expected to face 202 charges of child sexual offences against 23 girls as young as 10, allegedly committed at a Sydney childcare centre between 2014 and 2017. Queensland Corrections Minister Laura Gerber did not hold back, saying: 'I hope you hit every pothole on the way.'
Griffith was already serving a life sentence after pleading guilty in 2024 to 307 offences against nearly 70 victims.
He will serve his sentence in whichever state — Queensland or NSW — hands down the longer term.
In court last month, a victim's supporter screamed at Griffith: 'Rot! Fire! Brimstone! Burn! Get f***ed Ashley!'
