Australian ex-Port Adelaide AFL star Daniel Stewart dies suddenly aged 37 after an unexpected medical episode, his gym reveals

Daniel Stewart built a chain of Body Fit Training gyms across Melbourne alongside his old Port teammate and close friend Matt Thomas. Members learned by email on Saturday morning that 'Snowy' had passed away on Friday. The father-of-two kicked 31 goals in 36 games for Port Adelaide between 2010 and 2013. The Power will honour him with black armbands at their first 2027 home game at Adelaide Oval.

Wife Laura wrote: 'A heart too big for this world. We love you so much daddy.'

Ex-teammate Kane Cornes hailed him as 'a brilliant and caring teammate'.

Port picked the Melbourne-born forward at No.35 in the 2009 rookie draft.
