Australian ex-officer Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly told a friend 'I've killed people' then texted 'I should get an Oscar', jury hears

Asked how, Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly made a gun gesture and said 'Pew pew', the friend told the NSW Supreme Court on Friday. He recalled being told: 'I shot the first one through the head and the second one through the door.' The friend says he refused a request to take the day off and help clean the scene. Lamarre-Condon, 31, denies murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies in February 2024 and claims self-defence.

When the friend called the Oscar text 'not a joke', the reply allegedly came: 'OK it is real.'

Lamarre-Condon allegedly test-fired his police gun in bushland, asking if shots were audible indoors.

His Signal messages were set to vanish after 24 hours, so police could not recover them.
