Woman, 27, is charged with firearms offences after a police officer was shot in the foot in Nottingham

Aisha Zaman, of Collison Street, Hyson Green, is accused of having a prohibited firearm and of holding it with intent to commit an indictable offence. She was remanded in custody and is due before Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday. She is one of seven people arrested since Sunday's shooting. A sawn-off shotgun was recovered from the scene on Angel Row.

The officer was shot after approaching two people at an Angel Row bus stop around 4.50am.

A 30-year-old man arrested in Bedfordshire was recalled to prison for breaching his licence.
