Badenoch tells Swinney and Burnham to end 'endless' referendums and calls SNP chief a 'broken record'

Kemi Badenoch has rounded on both John Swinney and Andy Burnham during a visit to Edinburgh, demanding they stop "endless" referendums on Scottish independence and EU membership. She called Swinney a "broken record" after the First Minister announced a fresh independence campaign launch at this weekend's SNP conference in Aberdeen. Badenoch also backed a potential review of the Scotland Act, raising the prospect of curbing Holyrood's power to block reserved UK energy policy, including new nuclear.
Badenoch said Burnham's move to reopen a Brexit referendum is "not serious" and accused both leaders of using referendums to dodge governing.
She opened the door to Scotland Act reform by pointing to the SNP using planning powers to block new nuclear stations, saying "this computer says no" is "not good enough".
The visit was overshadowed after her team barred The National from her Edinburgh press event — despite Badenoch having publicly condemned Reform UK's journalist ban as "authoritarian".
