Badenoch warns she may strip Holyrood powers to stop SNP blocking nuclear energy

Kemi Badenoch has opened the door to reforming the Scotland Act, suggesting the Conservatives would look at curbing Holyrood's planning veto if the SNP used devolved powers to block reserved UK policy — including new nuclear power stations. She insisted there was "no review planned" but added "maybe we need a review" and said devolution is "a process and not a religion." The visit to Edinburgh also saw Badenoch challenge Andy Burnham to rule out a second Scottish independence referendum.
Badenoch called John Swinney a 'broken record' on independence and demanded an end to 'endless' referendums on both Scottish separation and Brexit re-entry.
The Tories barred The National newspaper from Badenoch's Edinburgh press event — despite her condemning Reform UK last month for blocking journalists from their conference.
Badenoch claimed she was unaware The National had been excluded, saying 'I'm very happy to speak to anybody.'
