Balaclava-clad London voyeur who filmed women through their windows is jailed after being caught on the FIRST night of patrols

Anthony Durkan, 36, of Corporation Street, Islington, ran a "calculated and deeply intrusive" voyeurism campaign lasting more than six years, going out at night in an all-black outfit and balaclava to film women through their windows in the early hours. Met officers conducting targeted patrols caught him outside a victim's home in March 2026 — the very first night of their operation. His phone held a hidden cache of images, and a search of his address turned up five further devices; across everything recovered, investigators found 99 images and 162 videos.
Durkan pleaded guilty to all 26 voyeurism charges and received a four-year custodial sentence alongside a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Investigators traced his offending to January 2020 and are continuing efforts to establish how many different women feature in the material.
Prosecutor Edward Kalber told Snaresbrook Crown Court that Durkan posed 'a real risk to women and girls in our communities.'
