Balaclava-clad voyeur who filmed women through Islington windows is jailed after police caught him on the FIRST night of patrols

Anthony Durkan, 36, of Corporation Street, Islington, conducted a "calculated and deeply intrusive campaign" of voyeurism spanning over six years, filming women across north London while clad entirely in black with a balaclava over his face. Prosecutors at Snaresbrook Crown Court told the court he recorded victims "in various states of undress" by pointing a camera through their windows late at night, and he admitted 26 charges before receiving a four-year sentence.
A hidden gallery on his phone yielded 99 images and 162 videos, with the offending traced back to January 2020.
Durkan was caught and arrested during the opening night of dedicated Met patrols, after two women reported a masked stranger filming through their windows.
He will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order; detectives say the investigation remains open and urge further victims to come forward.
