Balaclava-clad voyeur who filmed women through their Islington windows for six years is jailed for four years

Anthony Durkan, 35, of Corporation Street, Islington, stalked neighbourhood streets wearing a balaclava in the small hours, pressing his phone against windows to film women who were partly or fully undressed — a pattern of behaviour detectives say stretched across more than six years from January 2020.

Officers recovered 99 images and 162 videos from a hidden gallery on his phone, and many of those filmed have yet to be identified.

Durkan was arrested by a plainclothes officer after approaching a property — caught on the opening night of dedicated Met patrols targeting the area.

Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger said he carried out a 'calculated and deeply intrusive campaign', and police are urging any additional victims to come forward.
