Anthony Durkan, 35, waged what police described as a "calculated and deeply intrusive campaign" over six years, prowling Islington in the early hours dressed entirely in black, his face concealed by a balaclava to evade recognition. A search of his phone uncovered a hidden gallery holding 99 images and 162 videos of women recorded without their consent inside their own homes.

Durkan was caught red-handed on 25 March after the Met deployed targeted plain-clothes patrols in response to reports from two women.

He admitted 26 voyeurism charges in total and was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Detectives have not closed the investigation — they are still working to determine the full number of victims and have urged any other women who may have been targeted to come forward.
