Bank of Ireland raises its income forecast for the second time this year after lending grows by €3.6bn
Bank of Ireland chief executive Myles O'Grady upgraded the lender's net interest income target to above €3.6bn for the second time in 2026, citing momentum across loans, deposits and wealth management in the nine months to September. Total customer loans reached €86.1bn, driven by Irish mortgages and small business lending, while fee income climbed 6 per cent and assets under management hit €67bn.
Bank of Ireland holds a 39 per cent share of the Irish mortgage market for the year to date.
The bank's non-performing loan ratio fell to 2 per cent from 2.2 per cent, and earnings per share are forecast to rise by more than 35 per cent.
A €530m share buyback programme launched in March is now roughly 90 per cent complete.
