Barclays offers up to £600 free cash to switchers in a new market-leading deal that beats all rivals

Barclays has unveiled two switching offers — up to £300 for a standard current account and up to £600 for its Premier account — making them the most generous deals currently available. To be eligible, new customers must use the Current Account Switching Service, establish three direct debits, and deposit a minimum salary within 30 days. The full bonus is paid out over five months in £30 monthly instalments following an opening lump sum.

Premier account applicants need a minimum £75,000 annual income or £100,000 in savings with Barclays to qualify for the top £600 prize.

The nearest rival is Santander at £240, meaning Barclays is paying more than double that amount for standard switchers.

The deal launched on October 1 with no fixed end date — Barclays can withdraw it at any time, so eligible customers should move quickly.
