Lucie Kon, 57, received a £400,000 settlement from the BBC after alleging antisemitic harassment by colleagues who called Zionists "evil, like Hamas.

Lucie Kon, 57, a former BBC Storyville commissioning editor who spent over two decades at the corporation, received a £400,000 settlement after colleagues told her Zionists were "evil" and that she was too partial to oversee a documentary about the Nova music festival massacre because she is Jewish.

The BBC's deputy director general Rhodri Talfan Davies met the broadcaster's Jewish staff network but rejected calls for an independent inquiry, insisting there is no 'institutional discrimination of any sort'.

Kon has stated that Jewish BBC employees 'are being investigated for being Zionists', adding: 'I have had messages from Jewish colleagues who are struggling.'

The BBC moved Kon's credit from the end-board of the Oscar-winning film 'Mr Nobody Against Putin' into the scrolling credits mid-dispute — restoring it was agreed as part of the settlement.
