BBC Three is to be taken off air AGAIN after its 2022 comeback in the BBC's drive to save £500m
BBC Scotland and Radio 4 Extra will also lose their broadcast slots in spring 2027, with shows pushed onto iPlayer, Sounds and YouTube. Around 100 jobs are going at BBC News, plus 10 in Scotland. BBC Three first went online-only in 2016, before returning to TV in 2022. Only about £200m of the savings has reportedly been found so far.
Director-General Matt Brittin told staff: 'We all know that means tough choices.'
Scottish Culture Secretary Mairi McAllan branded it 'wholly unacceptable' and will go to Ofcom.
The channel that launched Fleabag and Killing Eve is being axed for a second time.
