Bentley has launched the Torcal, its first fully electric vehicle, built at its Crewe factory and billed as one of the most significant new models in the brand's 107-year history. The SUV delivers 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque — the highest of any Bentley ever made — and rockets from 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds. CEO Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser called it an "extraordinary benchmark in every area that matters," and the company said the launch represents a significant investment in British manufacturing.
The Torcal charges from 10 to 80 per cent in just 16 minutes, Bentley says.
Bentley says the Torcal will become the template for all future models in its line-up.
The car is the first Bentley to carry the brand's newly redesigned modernised emblem.
